This Privacy Policy describes how Gamazeba Studio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our SettleUp application (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
a. Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: When you register using Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture URL as provided by Google. If you use the guest sign-in option, we collect the name you provide.
- User-Generated Content: We collect the information you create and upload to the Service, including group names, descriptions, expense details (description, amount, category, date), and information about how expenses are split among members.
b. Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage and Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect information about how you interact with our Service. This includes events such as features used, screens viewed, buttons clicked, session duration, and crash reports.
- Device Information: We may collect device-specific information, such as your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. This helps us to troubleshoot issues and optimize the Service for your device.
- Data Stored Locally: The Service may store some data on your device, such as your authentication status and a cache of your groups and transactions, to improve performance and enable offline functionality.
c. Payment and Subscription Information
- When you purchase a premium subscription, our third-party payment processors (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store, Stripe) may collect payment information directly from you, such as your credit card number and expiration date. We do not store this sensitive payment information on our servers. We only receive non-sensitive information like a transaction identifier, your subscription status, and its expiration date to manage your premium account.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including all features for expense tracking and group management.
- To authenticate you and manage your account.
- To process your payments and manage your premium subscription.
- To personalize your experience within the app.
- To communicate with you, for example, to respond to your inquiries or send service-related notifications.
- To monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the Service's functionality and user experience.
- To diagnose and fix technical problems and crashes.
- To enforce our terms and policies and to protect the security and integrity of our Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Other Users in Your Groups: Your name and profile picture are visible to other members of the groups you are in. The expense details you add are also shared with all members of the respective group.
- With Service Providers: We use third-party services to help us operate our Service. These include:
- Google Firebase: We use Firebase for backend services, including authentication, database (Cloud Firestore), analytics (Firebase Analytics), remote configuration, and cloud functions. Firebase's use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Payment Processors: To process payments for our premium subscriptions, we may integrate with third-party payment services (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store, Stripe). These services will collect and process your payment information according to their own privacy policies. We recommend you review their policies to understand how they handle your data.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect our or our users' rights or property.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which may be located outside of your country of residence. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet-based service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You can delete your account and associated data by contacting us. Please note that deleting a group will permanently remove all associated transactions and data for all members of that group.
6. Account and Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. To initiate the deletion process, please send an email to ilia.bardinov@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and proceed with deleting the following data associated with your account:
- Your account information (name, email, profile picture).
- All groups you have created. Deleting a group will also remove all its expenses and data for all members of that group.
- All expenses and transactions you have created.
Please note that some anonymized usage data collected for analytics purposes may be retained, but it will no longer be associated with your personal account.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
